What better way to spring into this season but with a collab from our favs! Missguided has a collaboration with ultimate #Cozybae Jourdan Dunn. That is up and you can shop now HERE.The collaboration consist of athleisure wear, that completely speaks to the sexy sportswear babe. Very appealing to the typical Cozy girl/guy who wants to keep the sexy while still maintaining the comfy aesthetic. I basically drooled over the whole collection. See what I did with one of the items from the collection below.
We love crop tops right? But, I have to admit they were getting a little bland. So I'm excited for the new under boob crop top. It is a great twist on the crop top. Designers grabbed inspiration from the 2000s a time when sexualization was accepted. Stars like Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim, and Britney Spears would rock the under boob and thongs without any care or hesitation. I love that it's coming back, we saw the first peak of it in Yeezy season 4, and many designers ie Fendi, and Balmain have followed since. We saw both Gaga and Rihanna take to it the next level, more so Rihanna than Gaga tho.
To make sure my Cozy Baes are on trend I found a few places where you can cop a trendy under boob crop/ bodysuit. From high to low check out upcoming and high end designer that have your boobs in mind.

Every It girl will be rocking the ruffle trend this spring. It brings the fun and flirty back into our spring wardrobes. This spring be fun and let your outfits do the talking for you. Plus, this trend pays major homage to the 50s/60s and the tea party days; the difference is instead of going for tea, we're going to brunch with mimosas. Drink up ladies & Gents, and add a little ruffle to your spring wardrobe.
Spring is finally here, but the weather is still bipolar. Hopefully all these rain showers turn into perfect spring days. On the brighter side you can still add Spring aesthetics and qualities to your wardrobe. An illusion that'll feed our warmer weather needs. Combine bright colors with neutral tones, or play on stripes and patterns (which is pretty perfect for spring/summer seasons. For example royal blue and black, red orange with cream, and so on. While the Brighter colors may liven up your outfit, and solids/neutral keeps it clean and chic.
When you play on stripes/prints remember not to take it so serious, and add personality with whatever you pair it with.
Here is a simple casual and Cozy look anyone can pull off. A nice pair of fitted denim or trousers. Pair it with a flirty to and matching heels or booties, and you're look spring ready. Don't let the weather discourage you but have fun with your everyday wardrobe.

I recently participated in a styling competition hosted by one of the best boutiques in the city Current Boutique. It was such a fun and cute event. I was very honored to be the winner of the competition. My models were two really cute bloggers Shell (@acourageousbeauty) and Liha (@somethingglitters), who looked cozy in their looks.
I love bargains so both looks were under $200 for the full outfits. Yes! a major steal, I'm your bargain stylist. Check out some images from the event shot by these two beautiful #Cozybabes Adrianna Hoper (adriana.hopper3) and Melissa (@melisophia).
After you get into the winning looks be sure to check out Current Boutique & tell them Geneva sent you.
Solange graces yet another Cover. She is the Face for Bust magazine April/ May issue. As always she embodies a full spread like captured art. Her feature focuses on feminism, growing up with all women, and black women in the industry. Its a captivating feature, and nothing less of what I expect from her.
Next fall it seems like school is is session. Uniforms had a strong presence on the runway, with a punk rock theme. Layers, plaids, flannel, monogram pull overs, knee highs and back packs. Designers like Esteban Cortazar, Junya Watanabe, and Rihanna's Fenty x Puma collaboration, paraded the theme during their Fall/winter 2017 ready -to- wear shows. This was a winter of furs and layers, next season get the plaids and skorts ready. I'm very excited to see how street wear will play into this trend, for sure it'll have a unique aesthetic and it'll teach the industry another lesson in style. Here are a few of my favorite looks for Fall/Winter 2017.
We all have been seeing it; the new essential piece, the silk robe. I already have a thing for lingerie as ready-to- wear on any given Friday night. But the robe trend is simply addictive. A silk robe can add so much feminism and elegance to your outfit. All style icons and celebrities are following this trend. It's, also very transitional for seasonal closets. During the colder seasons it's a great layer piece, and when it's warmer it's light enough to just throw on without being un-comfortable.
Plus who doesn't live for the idea of getting to wear anything close to pajamas out to brunch. It's elevating your style and lifestyle.

Hey loves its half way thru the week and all I can think about, are the opportunities I need to create for Cozy Closet. I began to write down what I've accomplished so far. So I wanted to share you a video of my experience as an affiliate blogger with #SimplyStylist blogger conference. This experience was so important to me and showed me how far I can really take my brand. Plus my mini vacation to Chicago was amazing.
I had no clue as to what to expect, but it was a great move. Literally I was surrounded by #Girl bosses all day, which meant great conversation & shoes. Very refreshing, and the seminars were also knowledgeable and effective. I have used so much of what I learn It's an experience I would recommend go any up and coming blogger or stylist.

Nothing like mixing neutral colors. Ever since I went green I really stepped up my slays. I believe in consistency but still embrace the chic-ness of each and every look. Romance sleeves will be such a hot trend this spring and summer. You already see it on some of our favorite fashion IT girls.
Don't be intimidated to go in in full youth mode with your looks. Use this trend to revamp and create mature looks out of styles you wore as a young diva. I paired my romance top with a pair of mustard gauchos. I want to give off minimal vibes, but also mix masculine and feminine schemes to my look. I often do that to stay comfy and cozy in whatever I wear.
How would you wear a romance blouse?

The black culture has had and continues to influence on the entertainment and media culture for decades now and its no secret. In the late 80's early 90's hip hop has influenced the fashion industry. Being the face for brands and influencing the younger audience on what they wore.
Fast forward to 2017 and you see the same influence from artist. Wiz Khalifa often noted for his sleek rock star aesthetic. Khalifa made a transformation into the fashion industry that coincides with his style. From red carpets to creating his own fashion line, he was recently highlighted in Rag a Bone for being an eclectic gentleman in his own lane. Rag a Bone is known for being a classic monogram brand. It's dope and inspiring to see Wiz's growth and development in the industry. We all remember his graphic tees and now he's a tailored man.
